The AKC (American Kennel Club) has announced that effective October 1st, 2009, mixed breed dog owners will be able to list their dogs with the AKC’s new mixed breed program.

Dogs in the program must be spayed/neutered. The fee for the program is $35. Listed dogs will receive a certificate of participation, a competition card with ID number that will allow the dog to compete in AKC Agility, Rally, and Obedience events, and access to a community of dog lovers interested in supporting all things canine.
