Agility
Rogue Valley Veterinary Hospital offers classes in dog agility from beginning level to competitive level. Our agility instructor has trained multiple dogs in agility both competitive agility (based on speed) and urban search&rescue agility (which requires precision and safety). Our beginners and intermediate classes run 6 weeks. The advanced class runs 8 weeks and starts up whenever experienced handlers who graduated from the intermediate class want to take the big step towards the competitive level.
You will build foundational skills in the beginners class getting to know the sport of agility and how much fun it is. In the intermediate class you will get to know the more challenging obstacles and become proficient at taking a basic course. If you are interested in competition, the advanced class will prepare you for your first day of competition. Through our dogclub we will invite experienced speakers to help handlers improve agility skills beyond what they learn in class.
When you become a RVVH Dogclub member you can join the Saturday morning club meetings where you can practice your agility skills. A punchcard costs $99; it includes ten club visits and a discount to a sports consult with Dr. Comrie DVM. She can help you build a strength program for your dog and evaluate your dog's physical condition.
